I chose this picture because I think it is a strong portrait. I appreciate the fact that I can see her living environment without too much detail. She has so much attitude and intensity.

This picture is of a Tibetan monk spinning a prayer wheel; it shows a different type of religion that seems to rely on chance, which I find interesting.

This picture shows the extent that oil mining impacts the atmosphere and pollutes the Earth. The smoke and fumes from the mining seep into the atmosphere every day.

i chose this picture because i like the contrast with the snow and water. the woman is running along the Spree River.

I chose this picture because of the way the shadows are and the mystery that goes along with it. The model is wearing a piece from the Espaco Fashion collection at the Fashion Rio Fall Winter 2010. She's intense and unknown.

i choose this because even with all of the bad things happening in Haiti, people still have time to take pictures and express themselves.
