This picture has strong contrast on objects versus background. Snow and the sky are very bright but the trees and the people are dark so it stands out. And the both area is balanced. The subject, the closest person is stand out from other people by light color of the clothes. And the tree is straight and dense but the people are straight and sparse. It gives this picture rhythm, too. The beautiful sky also attracts views’ tension. Sam!
